AEU20 – (Statement in Support of COC)

Code: AEU20 (Legacy DOB Supporting Form)

Description: (Statement in Support of Certificate of Correction) is the notarized statement form that accompanied the AEU2 Certificate of Correction, describing in detail the steps taken to correct violating conditions. Like AEU2, this form is no longer submitted separately; the required statement details are now entered directly into DOB NOW.

Practical Meaning: When submitting a Certificate of Correction online through DOB NOW, you enter the correction details directly into the system rather than completing and uploading a separate AEU20 form. You still need to provide the same detailed explanation of how you fixed the violation, including permit numbers, contractor information, and dates, but the format has changed from a notarized paper form to online data entry.

Where You May See It: Older DOB instructions for correcting violations, archived DOB forms library, legacy violation correction files, pre-DOB NOW documentation from contractors or managing agents, printed reference materials from before online submission became mandatory.

Why It Matters: Even though the AEU20 form itself is obsolete, the information it required is still mandatory for Certificate of Correction approval. You must still provide detailed descriptions of correction work, permit references, and supporting documentation when filing online, so understanding what AEU20 asked for helps ensure your DOB NOW submission includes all required details. Do not confuse this with AEU3321, which combined both AEU2 and AEU20 for site safety training violations.
