Description: (Homeowner Resolution Program) is a DOB program that may give eligible owners of existing one- and two-family homes time to correct certain conditions before a DOB notice of violation and related penalties are issued. It is a DOB program, not an FDNY program.
Practical Meaning: If eligible, a homeowner may have a 60-day no-penalty period to correct a qualifying DOB condition and provide acceptable proof of correction. It does not erase an FDNY summons, an FDNY fire-code violation, or another agency’s enforcement case.
