AEU2 – (Legacy Certificate of Correction Form)

Code: AEU2 (Legacy DOB Form)

Description: (Certificate of Correction Form) is the original DOB affidavit form used to certify that all violating conditions on an OATH summons have been corrected. As of DOB NOW implementation, this form is no longer submitted as a separate document; instead, the required information is entered directly into the online Certificate of Correction request.

Practical Meaning: If you are filing a Certificate of Correction in DOB NOW, you no longer need to download, complete, or upload the AEU2 form. The system now prompts you to enter the certification information directly online, though you may still see references to "AEU2" in older instructions or documentation.

Where You May See It: Older DOB violation correction instructions, archived DOB forms pages, legacy correction documentation, contractor or property manager files from before DOB NOW implementation, printed violation notices with outdated correction procedures.

Why It Matters: Understanding that AEU2 is now obsolete prevents confusion when following current DOB NOW procedures for submitting Certificates of Correction. Using outdated paper forms instead of the online system will delay your correction submission and may result in rejection. Do not confuse this with the AEU (Administrative Enforcement Unit) that reviews your submissions.
